What a month of developments it has been! I've got a cruising baby on my hands. He pulled himself up for the first time on the 6th of July and it only took about 10 days to figure out how to zoom along the furniture.
He loves to pull himself up on whatever he can and go. The bad part is that if he's pulling himself up using a person he bites that particular person for a little added "ump"...apparently he doesn't trust his two hands. We are working on that lovely trait and hoping it will stop soon!
The fun that A can get into cruising is a treat...clean laundry isn't allowed to build up on the couch any longer because A will empty it to the ground if its out when he's about...books, toys, magazines...all have had to find 'higher' homes this month because things are fair-game if left on the couch. Things left on the side of the tub always end up pushed into the tub somehow...mischief, mischief, mischief...I had forgotten how much mischief a curious, mobile baby could discover.
A can get himself into a sitting position, too. It is kind of weird to walk into the room and find him sitting up when I left him crawling across the floor.
Teeth numbers 3 and 4 popped this month. The 3rd erupted on the 8th and the 4th followed two weeks later. Teething doesn't appear to bother A too much but I'm glad those pesky buggers finally made it through.
Sleeping through the night is now a regular occurrence. YIPEE!! However, he likes to get up at 6ish...a bit too early for my tastes...but hey, for a full night's rest, I'll take the 6 AM.
We had the privileged of attending camp at Rock Lake this month with Jut. A loved it. Tons of high school and college-aged people to adore him...he was in 7th heaven! Our first day home he was so crabby and I think it was because he didn't have anymore adoring fans. He loved swimming in the lake. He even slept okay. It was great. The bad thing about camp was that it got him out of the routine of pooping on the potty and I've had a really hard time readjusting to his new schedule (or maybe it is because he's so mobile that he disappears before the event...)...so we aren't having many successes these days...but oh well...I didn't hardly change a poopy diaper for 2.5 months. So, I really can't complain.
The boy loves eating. He will eat whatever I put in front of him and will continue to eat until I stop feeding him. He loves his food. Due to his allergies, he mainly eats banana, avocado, sweet potato, white potato, blueberries, applesauce and cereal. He doesn't like eating things that need to be fed to him...he'd much rather feed himself. He's getting quite independent rather quickly.
