Last month he got to meet lots of new family members at G'pa Daron's funeral. This week he got to meet all of my side of the family at his Great Grandpa Flegel's funeral. Let's hope we are done with funerals for awhile.
My little man continues to become increasingly mobile. He grabbed X's trains for the first time today and X wasn't too happy with him for playing with his toys. He still only rolls in one direction but he can push himself around so that he can pretty much go in the direction that he desires until he gets himself pinned up against a wall or on top of something uncomfortable. I have to put him in the exersaucer to shower in the mornings now because he gets into trouble if Ijust leave him on the floor.
He can make objects go into his mouth. He loves to chew, chew, chew. We let him gnaw on raw baby carrots at meals. Today, he chewed on a raw asparagus spear for lunch and thought that it was great. I'm really starting to watch for choking hazards now that he can grab things and stick them into his mouth.
He started briefly pushing himself up to his knees this week. He was really showing off his new skill tonight. Crawling is going to begin entirely too quickly.
C started avacodo this week for solids. It was pretty much a hit. I think my boy is going to be a pretty big eater. He was ready for solids and is eating more and more each day.
Sleeping is a major issue still. He doesn't like to do it. He fights it until he passes out. He is up numerous times a night. Poor boy is moving into a crib in the next few weeks and he is going to learn to sleep because my hearing isn't so good when he's on the other side of a closed door and not in my ear. During the day, I try to have him only take 3 naps...but as he is the king of the 35-minute nap, somedays he just can't make it to 7:30 bedtime with only three naps. Otherwise, he eats every three hours pretty reliably and sticks to the three hour schedule.
I'm expecting a tooth to pop any day but it illudes the surface yet. Drooling picked up again today so hopefully it will be here soon.
